Dealdog Motors ("Dealdog Motors," "we," "us," or "our") values your privacy and is committed to being transparent about how we collect and use your information when you visit our showroom, browse our inventory online, submit a lead form, or communicate with our sales and service team. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

This policy applies to information collected through example.dealdog.com, our lead capture forms, our voice and text messaging program, and in-person interactions at our dealership.

Contact and Lead Information

When you submit a form on our website, request a test drive, ask for a price quote, or speak with a salesperson, we collect information such as your name, mobile phone number, email address, ZIP code, the vehicle you're interested in, your trade-in details, and any notes you share with us.

Vehicle and Service Information

For service and warranty work, we collect your VIN, mileage, service history, and any diagnostic information required to complete the repair.

Communication Data

Phone calls and text messages between you and our sales or service team are logged, including message content, timestamps, delivery status, and call duration. Our messaging platform is powered by Dealdog (a subsidiary of 6Rhinos) using Twilio phone numbers assigned to our dealership.

Website and Device Information

When you visit our website, we automatically collect your IP address, browser type, device information, pages viewed, and referring URL to keep the site secure and improve the experience.

• To respond to your inquiries about vehicles, financing, trade-ins, service, and parts.
• To send you appointment confirmations, vehicle availability updates, pricing, and follow-ups from your salesperson or service advisor.
• To process vehicle sales, leases, financing applications, registrations, and service work.
• To comply with federal and state motor vehicle, lending, tax, and consumer protection laws.
• To send you occasional service reminders, recall notices, and dealership news (where permitted).
• To secure our website, prevent fraud, and improve our operations through aggregated analytics.

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in these limited situations:

• Manufacturers: With the vehicle manufacturer to register your vehicle, activate warranty coverage, deliver recall notices, and support connected-vehicle features.
• Lenders and insurers: With the lenders and insurance providers you authorize when you apply for financing or coverage.
• Government agencies: With state DMV, tax, and titling authorities as required to register and title your vehicle.
• Service providers: With vendors that help us run the dealership — including Dealdog (our lead communication platform) and Twilio (our SMS and voice carrier partner) — who process data only to provide services to us.
• Legal requirements: When required by law, subpoena, court order, or to protect our rights, property, or the safety of others.
• Business transfers: If Dealdog Motors is sold, merged, or reorganized, customer information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

No sharing of mobile opt-in data: Mobile phone numbers, SMS opt-in consent, and any information collected as part of our SMS messaging program are not shared, sold, rented, or otherwise disclosed to third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. This information is used only to deliver the messaging service you opted in to receive, and is only shared with the subprocessors (Dealdog, Twilio, and mobile carriers) strictly required to transmit those messages.

Dealdog Motors offers an SMS and voice communication program so our sales and service team can follow up with shoppers and customers who have voluntarily provided their phone number and asked to be contacted. The program is operated on our behalf by Dealdog, a subsidiary of 6Rhinos, using Twilio phone numbers assigned to our dealership.

What data we collect for messaging

When you submit a lead form on our website (or opt in through a comparable channel) and check the SMS consent box, we collect your name, mobile phone number, the vehicle you're interested in, any notes you include, and a record of the opt-in itself (timestamp, IP address, and the exact consent language shown). We also log the messages and calls sent and received on the Twilio number assigned to your salesperson or service advisor.

How we use messaging data

Mobile numbers and messaging data are used solely to: (a) send you transactional and conversational messages related to your inquiry (for example, appointment confirmations, vehicle availability, financing follow-ups, service updates, and replies from a salesperson or service advisor); (b) deliver required regulatory messages such as opt-in confirmations and HELP/STOP responses; and (c) maintain records of consent and message history for compliance purposes.

Program disclosures

• Message frequency: Message frequency varies based on your interaction with the dealership. Recurring conversational messages are sent as needed to follow up on your inquiry.
• Message and data rates: Message and data rates may apply. Check your mobile plan for details.
• Help: Reply HELP to any message for assistance, or contact us at support@example.dealdog.com.
• Opt out: Reply STOP to any message at any time to unsubscribe. You will receive a single confirmation message and no further messages will be sent from that number.
• Carriers: Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Web form opt-in

Our website lead forms include: a mobile phone number input field; an un-checked consent checkbox (never pre-selected) that you must actively tick; a clear description of the messages you will receive (conversational follow-ups from the dealership about your vehicle inquiry, including appointment scheduling, vehicle availability, pricing, and financing); the expected message frequency (recurring, varies based on the conversation); the disclosure that message and data rates may apply; HELP and STOP instructions; links to our Terms of Service and this Privacy Policy; and a submit button with clear affirmative language such as "Yes, sign me up." Submission records the timestamp, IP address, and the exact consent language displayed.

Verbal opt-in

When a salesperson or service advisor captures consent verbally (for example, during an in-person visit or phone call), they will state: a clear description of the service and the type of messages you'll receive from Dealdog Motors; the expected message frequency; that standard message and data rates may apply; that you can reply HELP for help; that you can reply STOP at any time to opt out; and where to find our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. They will then request your explicit consent ("yes" or "no"), log the affirmative response with a timestamp, and you will receive a confirmation message on enrollment.

We retain customer and communication records for as long as reasonably necessary to serve you, comply with federal and state motor vehicle, financing, tax, and warranty recordkeeping requirements, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

If you ask us to delete your information and there is no legal obligation to retain it, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within ninety (90) days of your request.

We use industry-standard safeguards — including encryption in transit (TLS), access controls, and audit logging — to protect the information we collect. No system is 100% secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

• The right to access the personal data we hold about you.
• The right to request correction of inaccurate data.
• The right to request deletion of your personal data, subject to legal retention requirements.
• The right to object to or restrict certain processing activities.
• The right to opt out of marketing communications at any time.
• The right to data portability, where technically feasible.

Our website uses essential cookies to keep the site working and analytics cookies to understand how shoppers use the inventory. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site tracking pixels for behavioral advertising.

Our website and services are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
